Hiking the Dish

Last weekend Alison planned a date for us to hike the Stanford "Dish.". There is some undeveloped land off of Highway 280 on the west side of Stanford campus that has a gigantic satellite dish on it and 3.3 miles of paved hiking trail. It's not so much that it is a long hike but it is a lot of big inclines and declines. Just the kind of torture that Coach Edwards would have put us through in high school track.

We did it, and the next day we decided to (I decided and conned Alison) into taking the girls in the stroller. After pushing them up those hills in that stroller I can truly say "I'm a stronger man for it," quite literally. The girls actually wanted to do a lot of walking on their own, mostly the flat areas - and it really got them worn out for a good night's sleep.

I have also included some pictures of a Lina and Ruthie couch fort that collapsed and a Ruthie hair-do that I tried today.
