Daddy Daughter Date Week

These last couple of weeks have been great. I had the chance to take Ruthie to some daddy-daughter gymnastics classes. Very fun to watch Ruthie go off and explore different parts of the gymnastics room. The Elders have been playing Saturday morning basketball at the church so the girls have come and cheerleaded for me and given Alison a little break to herself. They always have some new little friends to play with. Last week we put on their Brasilian soccer jerseys and went over to the park to give it a go. Ruthie got bored and deserted us for the playground, but Lina did a great job (see picture of her dribbling the ball)!

Today Lina and I had a daddy daughter date to the children's museum in San Jose. We had a great time playing in the water, making water color paints, exploring in different tunnels, learning how to cheerlead (yes, it's true), painting Lina's face (see picture), etc. We took the light rail train down and back, which is half the adventure for Lina - she has a great time on the train. And I had the distinct opportunity on the train to hear the most educated debated on politics, changes in government, tax codes, and financial strategies for the auto industry from 3-4 guys that I'm almost positive are homeless. Maybe that's where all the creative genius is...? :). Alison and Ruthie spent the day getting her hair cut and running some errands.

Hope you all are good!
