July Update

Well - after a week and a half in bachelorhood it was great to get my girls back. Alison, Lina, and Ruthie spent the last 1.5 weeks in Upstate New York and Maine with the Sonntags. Darrell, thanks for hosting and I'm sorry that I couldn't make it.

I flew out to Utah on Thursday AM to see the girls after the long hiatus. Thursday we went to Paul & Carol to their future neighborhood and swam in the neighborhood pool. The girls had a great time. That night we had a BBQ with Steph and her fiancee Ben (or "bed" as Ruthie calls her) - he seemed to fit in alright, so I guess he passed the test and Steph can marry him. Lucky thing since the wedding is next month - but that's what happens when you wait this long to get my approval :). Friday we did a hike and picnic with the Sonntags up in Huntsville. That night we went up to Richard & Shirley's house for a Jones family barbecue and watched the fireworks in Brigham City. Lina and Ruthie had a ton of fun playing with their cousins and were totally mesmorized by the fireworks (or "boom-works" as Lina called them).

Saturday we went down to the Dunn's and had a fun visit from the Bonnemorts and the Seth Vances. It's been 2 years since we saw the Bonnemorts just before the 4th of July in 2006. The Bonnemort kids just keep growing. And I can't remember the last time I saw Amanda or Diana Vance. Great bonus was getting to hold Amanda's little 10 day old baby boy Liam. We also got to see Brooke and her new little doggie She-ra (yes folks that is a throw back for all of you that watched Saturday morning cartoons in the 80's).
